About Xposay
What this is
Xposay is two different things under one roof, for Bangalore. The Housing Index turns real reviews of apartment buildings into one honest score plus a category breakdown -- maintenance, water supply, security, and more -- instead of a plain five-star average and a wall of unsorted text. Two kinds of reviews feed into every score, clearly labeled so you always know which is which: what Google already has on a building, and first-hand accounts from residents -- owners, landlords, and tenants -- who've actually lived there. Flatmate Finder is a separate, much simpler tool: a listing board for finding a flatmate, with no scoring or reviews involved at all. Both are covered below, on their own terms.
How Housing scores work
Every building page breaks its score down by category, worst first -- so the thing most likely to affect your decision is the first thing you see, not buried under the good news. Here's an example (not a real building):

Overall a good place to raise a family -- security and upkeep are consistently solid. Water pressure drops on the top floors in summer, and visitor parking fills up fast on weekends.

A resident review from an email-verified poster counts for more in the score than one submitted without verification -- both go through the exact same manual moderation before they count toward anything or appear publicly, just at different weight once they do. We don't publish the exact numbers behind that blend, only the ranking of trust it follows. A building's K-RERA registration status, where shown, is a separate, manually maintained signal and is never folded into its score.

How confident a score is
Every score on Xposay is shown together with how many reviews back it up, resident reviews counted the same as any other. We never hide a score just because the sample is small -- instead, when there aren't enough reviews yet to be confident, it's visually flagged as limited data, so you can decide for yourself how much weight to give it. Would-recommend percentage is shown separately and is never folded into the numeric score.
Flatmate Finder
Flatmate Finder is a listing board, not a scored or reviewed system -- nothing here feeds into a score, and there's no category breakdown. Post a room you have or one you're looking for, browse what others have posted, and express interest directly; from there, the two of you take it over email.
Email verification -- a one-time code -- is the only anti-spam check. Listings publish immediately, with no moderation queue, unlike the reviewed Housing content above.
Every poster provides their age, profession, and LinkedIn profile, but these are self-reported and not verified by Xposay in any way -- use your own judgment before making plans to meet, the same as with any online listing.
A locality is required for every listing, picked from a real list of Bangalore areas (or typed in if it's not on the list); naming a specific building is optional.
Listings expire automatically 30 days after posting. A poster can edit or delete their own listing at any time via “Manage my listing” on the Flatmates page.
As on the posting form itself: meet in a public space when viewing a room for the first time, and don't share more personal details than you're comfortable with.

Housing scores, category breakdowns, and summaries on this site reflect an aggregation of opinions from real people -- Google's review base and Xposay's own residents -- not independently verified factual claims made by this site about any building, developer, builder, or management entity. Flatmate Finder listings are self-reported by their posters and are not vetted by Xposay at all, beyond the email verification described above. Treat all of this as one input among several, and verify anything specific before making a decision. If something looks wrong or unfair, see below for how to flag it.
Something here is wrong or unfair
Every review, every building page, and every Flatmate Finder listing has a “Report” link for flagging content that's factually inaccurate, fake or spam, contains personal information, or is otherwise a problem. Reports are reviewed manually -- they don't hide anything automatically.
Writing a review yourself
Every building page has a “Write a review” option, badged distinctly as a Resident Review once published, separate from the aggregated section below it. It asks for your email address and a one-time code to verify it's really you -- that address is stored only long enough to complete the verification; afterward, only a one-way hash of it is kept, just to stop the same email from reviewing the same building twice. Every submitted review is manually checked before it appears publicly or affects any score.
If you manage a building
Building pages have an “I manage this building” link to submit a claim with your name, role, and contact details. Claims are reviewed manually before anything changes -- once approved, a verified response from management can be attached directly to that building's page.
